Welcome to Race Chaplain!

Welcome to Race Chaplain.com and Colorado Motorsports Ministries!

The chaplain ministry exists to provide trauma response, help meet spiritual needs as well as to serve and support the drivers, families, and race day staff who are apart of the Colorado National Speedway community. This will take place through building consistent, ongoing, authentic relationships, and by being available and sensitive to the needs of the racing community.

The chaplain ministry at CNS was started in 2007 by three men who love Christ, love people and have a passion for motor sports. In 2008 we added a fourth chaplain to our team. In addition, we became a part of the Motor Racing Outreach Association. Motor Racing Outreach has been serving NASCAR since 1998. MRO provides a chaplain to the Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series. Our association MRO will equip us with valuable training and recourses as we work to serve the racing community at CNS.

CNS is 3/8 mile paved short track in Erie Colorado just five miles north of the Denver metro area and is home to some of the best action packed, intense NASCAR racing in the Rocky Mountain region. There are several divisions competing at CNS. Each division will keep you on the edge of your seat, from the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Late Models to the Pro-Trucks, the Grand American Modifieds, the crazy Figure 8's along with many other exciting series. We want to thank the track ownership and management and the race teams for allowing us be apart of this great racing community.

Motor Racing Outreach

Here's part of a cool article about ministry to drivers and crew:

Other than the tool boxes and various other instruments that NASCAR teams use, the setting looks and feels a lot like any other worship service. It's probably shorter, but such is life in NASCAR - a world in which drivers are sought after by fans and media alike in one of the longest seasons in professional sports that runs from February until November. But firmly planted in the middle of this fast-paced culture is the ministry of Motor Racing Outreach which has become a constant that drivers and their teams can depend on.
